External Western Digital Hardrives are they any good?

hi I have to backup my data cause my hard drive makes this weird whirring noise when it spins up(never used to happen before) 1tb western digital black now everywhere i turn on every external drive there has more negatives than positives i was looking at this one but the failure rate seems abnormally high a href="http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136749&cm_re=my_book_essential-_-22-136-749-_-Product" rel="nofollow"http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as…/a please check it out or if you had personal experience or recommend one to me thanks
